On Christmas Eve, little Marie receives a nutcracker from her uncle. At night, the toys begin to come to life, to move, the little girl is drawn into a whirlwind of extraordinary adventures. The magic of Christmas, the magnificent costumes, the varied choreographies, a real holiday atmosphere make The Nutcracker a show for the whole family. A wonderful ballet, a symphony of beauty and grace!
This will be the premiere in France of the British Festival Ballet, directed by Yassaui Mergaliyev, an exceptional dancer who won the gold medal at the prestigious Varna competition, distinguished by the government of Kazakhstan for her artistic career, and by Sophie Mergaliyev, ex- dancer with the Royal Ballet of Sweden. The refined style, the traditions of the Vaganova school and the technical prowess of the English school make this young company one of the most successful on tour today.
