The Le Lait art center has been promoting contemporary art in Albi and the Tarn for more than 40 years: exhibitions, artistic workshops, conferences, editions, symposia, artist residencies.
It has been labeled a “Center for Contemporary Art of National Interest” by the Ministry of Culture since September 2019.

Dedicated primarily to the visual arts, the art center produces works, editions, films, etc.
It also opens up to many disciplines, through various projects: literature, cinema, dance, music, architecture, design... Around each temporary exhibition, it offers workshops, thematic visits, artist meetings, conferences and events.
Also dedicated to the transmission of art, it offers mediation actions and interventions in the territory…

Among the artists exhibited are Lucie Laflorentie, Jason Glasser, Laurent Le Deunff, Romain Gandophe, Rémi Groussin, David Coste, Morgan Dimnet, Leah Desmousseaux, Dominique Blais, etc…

While waiting to move into their new premises in 2024, in the buildings of the former Camille Claudel school, the art center is deploying programming outside the walls, in Albi, in the Tarn and in the region.
