One of the strong Albigensian identities is the Fashion Museum. It presents a new exhibition every two years, with an original theme, made up of around a hundred pieces. This museum presents clothes and accessories all from Dominique Miraille's private collection, ranging from the end of the 2th century to the 2000s. The Fashion Museum offers “10 years”, the anniversary exhibition.

“10 years”, the anniversary exhibition

" 10 years " this is the theme of the new exhibition to discover at the Albi Fashion Museum.
In 2022, the Albi Fashion Museum celebrated 10 years of exhibiting unique and emblematic pieces. No theme is therefore attached to this exhibition.
Showing 250-year-old costumes, exhibiting fragile materials miraculously spared by time, talking about historical events through costumes and accessories, having fun with unusual little objects… such are the collector's goal and bet.

During guided tours, Dominique Miraille presents, exhibition after exhibition, remarkable, rare, historic and incredible pieces that are very rarely seen in museums. This anniversary is a great opportunity to release this type of exceptional piece from the reserves.

A place steeped in history

The Fashion Museum occupies part of theformer boarding school of the Annonciades convent of which some architectural traces are still visible: spiral staircase, Gothic doors, vaulted cellar... The place alone is worth the detour. It is located in the heart of the Albigensian heritage, in a setting steeped in history, the Saint-Julien district. A few meters from Cathedral et Berbie Palace, the detour is a must!

Store

Right next to the museum, a fun shop offers you original and always very affordable pieces: vintage clothing and jewelry, haberdashery, lace and old fabrics, as well as catalogs and postcards from past exhibitions.
