Very close to Castelnau de Lévis, a medieval village at the gates of Albi, near the banks of the Tarn, stands the forgotten church of Carla, listed as a Historic Monument.
Built in the XNUMXth century on the site of a village destroyed by Simon de Montfort in his crusade against the Albigensians (Cathar Wars), the Sainte-Cécile church is an element of the history and heritage of the town.
The project led by Casimir FERRER consists of the restoration and embellishment of this beautiful chapel dating from the 13th century. Quality cultural events take place in this exceptional site: exhibitions, conferences and concerts.
Guided tours are offered by prior appointment.
The funds collected are intended for hospitalized children as well as their loved ones, helping them in their daily struggle and improving their material and psychological conditions.

The church houses the headquarters of the Thousand Stars for Children Association, which raises funds for sick and hospitalized children. From the month of April, exhibitions, conferences and classical concerts are organized for its benefit.
