The Toulouse-Lautrec museum is located in the Palais de la Berbie, in the heart of the Albigensian episcopal city, listed as a World Heritage Site. It houses the largest public collection in the world devoted to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
The course devoted to Toulouse-Lautrec offers on two levels a chronological discovery and a thematic approach of the work. His lithographic technique and his creative process are illustrated by the presentation of studies and preparatory drawings alongside the 31 posters he produced.
A third level is devoted to a collection of modern art presenting the works of friends and contemporaries of Toulouse-Lautrec, as well as a significant group of artists from “Poetic Reality”.
The discovery of the building and the rehabilitated spaces is accompanied by the creation of history galleries, one of which allows you to deepen your knowledge of the Berbie Palace, based on archaeological discoveries made during the restructuring project, and the another presents the episcopal city classified as a World Heritage Site.
