The Gaillac vineyard is one of the oldest in France! Plains and hillsides on either side of the Tarn river, sometimes beaten by the Autan wind, make up the 6 terroirs which give the wines their specificity. Pearl whites, dry & fruity, sweet, light rosés, or early reds, distinctive and full-bodied, spiritual sparkling wines… there is something for everyone.
Let yourself be carried away by the passion of the winegrowers, in fact, just the name of the grape varieties takes you on a journey: Mauzac, Len de Lel, Ondenc, Muscadelle, Sauvignon, Duras, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet, Prunelard, Gamay.

Program

DAY 1 – Albi the essentials

Step 1: 09:30 a.m. Meeting

09:30 am Meeting with your guide at the tourist office, 42 rue Mariès. Welcome by our team and presentation of your guide and the program.

Step 2: Guided tour of the historic center

2 hours of walking tours in the heart of the city to discover the rich heritage. During your visit:


  • Place Savene
  • Saint-Salvi cloister
  • the Enjalbert house
  • the coat of arms of the city
  • the market hall

Step 3: Tasting

Stop at the covered market, under the Pavillon Baltard-style hall for tasting local products – a gourmet and friendly moment

Step 4: 12:30 p.m. Lunch

The different menus will be presented to you when booking. Lunch will take place in a restaurant located in the historic center

Step 5: 14:30 p.m. guided tour of the Cathedral

An unrivaled monument, an absolute masterpiece of southern Gothic, austere on the outside, Sainte-Cécile is the setting for sumptuous interior decor:


  • the frescoes of the vault, the largest collection of Italian Renaissance paintings produced in France,
  • the Last Judgment, reputed to be the largest in the world due to its painted surface,
  • the polychrome statute of the Grand Choir,
  • the largest classical organ in France…

Step 6: 16 p.m. End of day

DAY 2 – The Gaillacois

Breakfast and meeting at the hotel with your guide.

Step 1: 10:00 a.m. Guided tour of the Toulouse-Lautrec museum

The largest public collection in the world of works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec can be found in Albi, including the 31 posters of the lithographer painter. Visiting the museum, you will not miss to also visit the Palais de la Berbie which serves as its setting.

Step 2: 12:30 p.m. Lunch

Lunch is planned in Albi

OPTION “Guinguette” style lunch
It is on the Domaine Gayrard, in a rural setting, on the edge of the causses, land of oaks, stones and truffles, that L'a Guinguette welcomes you to share a friendly moment around the cuisine of Arnaud RONXIN . From May to September. (Quote on request)

Stage 3: 14 p.m. Departure for the Gaillac vineyard

Stop at a wine estate, guided tour and tasting.

Step 4: 17 p.m. Return to Albi and end of services
