Scène Nationale


Theatre, cinema, dance, mixed arts, circus, music, puppets ... the Scène Nationale in Albi stages an impressive range of events in the artistic field. In many ways, it is unique in France.
Music, theatre, opera, dance, singing, academic conferences, exhibitions ... 45 shows, 170 performances are scheduled in the Grand Théâtre, the Théâtre des Lices, and the Athanor Hall.

The Scène National in Albi is part of the network of 70 Scènes Nationales scattered across France. Albi’s Cultural Centre obtained the “Scène Nationale” label in 1992.

It brings arthouse cinema to a wider audience with the support of the National Centre for Cinematography. The ARCE cinema offers an eclectic and multi-lingual programme, across a variety of cultures and aesthetics. Access via rue des Cordeliers/place Edouard Canet.

Each season, it stages nearly 200 performances and more than 50 cultural action projects in twenty municipalities in the département.
