The former palace of the bishops, the Palais de la Berbie is the prestigious setting of the Toulouse-Lautrec museum. Built in the XNUMXth century, La Berbie is one of the oldest castles in France, even prior to the construction of the famous Papal Palace in Avignon, in the Occitanie region.

Step 2: The Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec collections

Paintings from his youth, portraits, scenes from life in Montmartre, performing arts and theater in Paris at the end of the XNUMXth century… The mTL brings together the largest public collection in the world dedicated to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

This unique collection, including the 31 posters he designed, provides a rich and varied tour of the museum, illustrating the artist's talent and genius.

Step 3: Modern art collections

At the end of the guided tour of the Toulouse-Lautrec collections, stay in the museum and freely discover the modern art collections. This space presents art from the end of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century: painters known as “Poetic Reality”, contemporaries of Lautrec, famous painters and sculptors such as Matisse, Bourdelle, etc.
