Les Avalats: an old village!
The Saint-Benoît des Avalats church appears for the first time as a beneficiary of bequests in a will of Garsinde, Countess of Toulouse, written in 972. A monoxyl coffin was discovered exposed in the old washhouse certainly from the cemetery surrounding the 'church.
