The Albi Tourist Office renewed its classification in category 1 for 5 years on June 22
2023. This classification is the only one which allows the classification of the commune of Albi as a “resort
tourism” and which corresponds to excellence in terms of welcoming tourist customers.

Our promotion and communication networks
The Tourist Office works in close collaboration with the City of Albi, Tarn Attractiveness at the departmental level, the CRTL et Great Sites Occitanie, South of France on a regional scale. Albi and the Tarn Valley are one of the 42 Grands Sites Occitanie Sud de France.
The Tourist Office promotes Albi through its partnership in the Destination Contract alongside Toulouse, Toulouse Airport, Montauban, Carcassonne, Auch, Tourisme Gers, and Tourisme Ariège. These destinations in the South-West, 1 hour from Toulouse, aim to strengthen the attractiveness of the territories and collectively drive promotional actions on foreign markets, Spain and Germany in particular. The objective of this tri-partite contract (CRTL, Atout France, OT) is part of a desire to go beyond the vision of short urban stays and establish a model of sustainable tourism development by coupling the urban offer and the offer of surrounding sites
