Program

DAY 1 – Albi the essentials

Step 1: 10:00 a.m.: Meeting

10 am: Meeting with your guide at the tourist office, 00 rue Mariès, welcome by our team and presentation of the programme.

Step 2: Guided tour of the Episcopal City

Guided tour of part of the perimeter listed as World Heritage:


  • Sainte-Cécile Cathedral, masterpiece of southern Gothic
  • the Castelviel district, the original site of the city and the Place du Château, Place Savène
  • Castelnau, and its streets steeped in history
  • then the Saint-Salvi/la Canourgue district, the collegiate church and its cloister
  • the Saint-Julien district, its market halls, the Romanesque house
  • without forgetting the river district and its emblematic Pont-vieux.


The visit is organized around the monumental ensemble of the cathedral and the Berbie Palace, the former residence of the bishops, Place Sainte-Cécile.

Step 3: 12:30 p.m. Lunch

The different menus will be presented to you when booking. Lunch will take place in a restaurant located in the historic center

Step 4: 14:30 p.m. Guided tour Albi “Garden side”

Labeled “City 4 Flowers” ​​since 2002, Albi is proud of this distinction attesting to the quality, diversity and richness of its environmental heritage of urban green spaces. From the medieval Eden of the Saint-Salvy cloister to the French garden of the Berbie Palace, without forgetting the Rochegude park and the National Garden, follow step by step the evolution of the Albigensian gardens through the ages.

DAY 2 – Tarn Valley

Breakfast and meeting at the hotel with your guide.

Step 1: 10:00 a.m. Departure for Ambialet and guided tour

The bed of this Tarn river will take you upstream 20 minutes from Albi, into the heart of wilder nature, the Tarn Valley, to the meander which entwines the Ambialet peninsula. This village has the particularity of being built on the most pronounced isthmus in Europe.
In the programme :


  • discovery of the village
  • from its Priory, panoramic view of the Valley
  • of its hydroelectric plant.

Step 2: 12:30 p.m. Lunch in Ambialet

Step 3: 14 p.m. Departure for Brousse le Château and visit

Highlight of this visit: the medieval castle of Brousse is a real fortress whose defensive architecture is clearly legible:
a keep, a succession of towers included in ramparts crowned with battlements and pierced with numerous loopholes.

Step 4: 16 p.m. Return to Albi and end of services
