As part of the IN A LANDSCAPE concert series, the GMEA – Center Nationale de Création Musicale d’Albi – Tarn invites the Lebanese musician Raed Yassin
Raed Yassin has developed an extensive, personal and independent technique of double bass playing, consisting of using objects made from various materials (paper, metal, plastic, wooden sticks and many others) in order to prepare his instrument.
His interest here relies heavily on textures, energies and vibrations, the density of volume and sound, rather than on conventional melodic structures. The result is both sonic and visual, a total stimulation of the senses.
