Chants de l’Est – Festival Tons Voisins

Wednesday, June 05 at 19:00 p.m.
The Grand Théâtre des Cordeliers Place de l’Amitié entre les Peuples 81000 Albi
Journey to the heart of Europe, with the brilliant accordionist Vincent Peirani, the jazz pianist Paul Lay, the Hungarian cymbalist Miklós Lukács and the double bass player Mátyás Szandai. A transmusical journey between jazz, traditional and improvised music!
This concert is part of the 18th edition of the Tons Voisins festival which will be held from June 04 to 08, 2024.
The four virtuoso musicians offer an exhilarating program here, giving pride of place to improvisation as they know how to do so well. In duo, trio or quartet, Vincent Peirani, Paul Lay, Miklós Lukács and Mátyás Szandai, offer us a musical dialogue, sometimes flirting with the game, responding to each other in poetry.

If there were to be a common denominator for this program, it would obviously be rhapsody, this form of very free and popularly inspired composition made famous by many composers from Eastern Europe. These four musicians with recognized talents, some of whom have already been able to enchant the Albigensian public, will undoubtedly be able to offer an incredible musical journey to start the festival in the most beautiful way.
