Voie Verte "Le Chemin des Droits de L'Homme" Albi – Castres

44 kilometers of an old railway line linking the towns of Albi and Castres have been converted into a greenway (sand track 3m wide).
Carried out by the Department of Tarn, this development uses the right-of-way of the old railway line built in 1869 between Rodez and Castelnaudary for the transport of passengers and coal from the mines of the Carmaux basin.
The choice of materials and the attention paid to the treatment of the hedges are intended to preserve this ensemble's natural character and rural atmosphere.
This greenway, a space with multiple uses, is a meeting place with landscapes, flora and fauna.
Respect the fragility of nature... Pay attention to the conviviality of this space.

The departure on the Albi side is in the town of Puygouzon located on the RD71 1.5km from the Gamm vert roundabout.

16 car parks distributed along the route allow users to take it from different places.
