Circuit Pourpre – Itinéraire du patrimoine

The hike begins at the Palais de la Berbie, a former episcopal palace which adjoins the cathedral, then behind the Palace, in its old-fashioned garden which offers a breathtaking view of the Tarn, and takes us to the heart of the episcopal city, place de la Trébaille and place Savene, remarkable for their half-timbered or cob houses.

Other equally authentic resorts await walkers: medieval churches, arches, arcades, as far as the alleys of the medieval district of Castelviel, and the Résidence du Castelnau, a superbly renovated XNUMXth century mansion.

The end of the route passes by the house of the navigator Lapérouse, then by the collegiate church and the cloister of Saint-Salvi, before ending in beauty on the Place Sainte-Cécile, opposite the cathedral.
