Let's meet Mélanie in her Spa nestled in the city center of Albi, dedicated to well-being.
Introduce yourself and tell us about your background?
I am Mélanie Julien, before opening L'Instant Spa, I worked at Séphora where for 10 years I was able to evolve from intern to manager. After 10 years, I needed renewal and I especially wanted to return to my first love with a more cocooning, more peaceful relationship with the clientele.
The idea took off for 2 years and I looked above all for what was missing in Albi, the added value that I could bring with a different concept. The thirties of my generation, like me, often went to Toulouse and the surrounding area because we couldn't find this concept. After determining the idea, I started looking for a place and once found, avenue Georges Pompidou, it was 8 months of work with the family in 2022. I opened in December 2022.
Tell us about the concept of your wellness salon
We work a lot for EVJF, groups, girlfriends, birthdays. We can receive up to 11 to 13 people at the same time. I also open on Sundays by reservation for these groups. In general, the girls have brunch at the Vents d'Anges on Place Saint-Julien and follow up with a spa. Then I have a lot of couples. I offer specialized massages on the SPA, all that is body ritual massages, exfoliation, wrap, massage of the skull and face. I also do “Les bain de Cléopâtre” milk baths and also have clients compose a “bath tea” which is infused in the bath and combined with a massage too. You will find all the formulas below.
In the SPA area, it's 1h30 the formula at 25€ with a 7-seater jacuzzi, the hammam and the sauna for 4 people, the herbal tea and relaxation area. The people will be in total autonomy, I pass and watch that they lack nothing. I also teamed up with Elodie, who is a nurse specializing in paramedical tattooing and in the reconstruction of everything that will be scars, breast areolas, eyebrows, semi-permanent tattoos. She works with Albigensian associations, doctors...
Lots of projects are planned together in the coming months.
I am open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m., closed on Thursday and Sunday by reservation.
